Welcome to “our” Web Site!

This site serves all members of the Senior Resource Interest Group. We believe you will find information of interest to you here. Our Interest Group invites everyone age 55 and over to be a member, use our website and read our excellent newsletters. Please encourage your CPCU friends and neighbors who qualify to join us!

Our Newsletter Editor is Jim Kirschbaum who does a fantastic service in gathering information and getting it published multiple times a year. Thank you, Kirsch. We ask you to offer ideas and information to be published in these newsletters so they may help you!

Our Web Site Coordinators are Joe Long and Judy Brannon who do a fantastic service maintaining our web site. Leslie Higgins, Society staff, serves as a great resource to help all of us as well. Thank you, Joe, Judy and Leslie.

The Senior Resource Interest Group differs from the others since since they service insurance industry specialties. We serve all who have retired, dream of retiring or maturing gracefully in life. Retiring Chairman's Corner

Goal setting is commonplace at the annual meetings and the Senior Resource Section is no exception. I want to share with you the direction we're heading and our plans for getting there. As we prepare to kick off another year, under our incoming Chairman Vern Veal, our overall theme is to strengthen each of our programs and set the stage for the future. The specific goals established were:

- Add Value to our Section
- Retaining and Recruiting New Members
- Succession Planning

The first goal is to "add value" to everything we do. We need to constantly remind ourselves to make sure we are giving our Section membership (you) the programs you want and the quality you expect, i.e., newsletters with articles of interest, a website with current and pertinent information, seminars and symposiums with contemporary topics, a travel program with exciting destinations. And finally, relating to all of these things, a strong communication link to keep you well informed.

The other two goals are designed to maintain our membership and our committee by planning well in advance and sharing our Section values with current and prospective members. To ensure the continuation and smooth transition of our plans, we are identifying back-up candidates for all key positions on our committee: Chairperson, Newsletter Editor, Web Administrator and Seminar Coordinator.
