"What in the world is the Senior Resource Interest Group all about?"
Is it just for care giving? What kind of programs do they sponsor? Read on—you might be in for a big surprise!
The Senior Resource Interest Group is designed for any CPCU Society member, 55 years of age or older, who is still working, contemplating retirement, or has already retired. The interest group’s programs provide information or insight into issues that relate specifically to this group, i.e.:
-
resource information on available services
-
retirement and financial planning
-
wills and estate planning
-
health, fitness, and care giving programs
-
care giving and alternative arrangements
-
volunteer programs
-
employment opportunities
-
group travel program
The Senior Resource Interest Group maintains a web site and it produces quarterly newsletters to keep members informed. Additionally, the section sponsors seminars at the Annual Meeting and creates symposia to address specific topics of current interest.
The goal of the interest group is to develop a balanced membership and to place emphasis on those programs that are of most interest and have a broad appeal.
